As another year is coming to a close, we all sit and reflect on what this year means to us. We reminisce about the successes, disappointments, heartbreaks, struggles, discoveries and journeys that we have been able to get through this year. It is crazy to think that in 365 days life can completely change, while at the same time remain the same. Each year we come to play different cards and are dealt with new cards.

With just a few days left of 2014, sit, think, and reflect on the lessons learned and the blessings received throughout the year. In on area in our lives or another, we have been able to learn lessons. Lessons come to us through people or situations.

We do not realize how much things have changed in 365 days until we sit and think back to where we were and how we were this same day just a year ago. We come to realize that our outlook on life, love, and other aspects have come to change. We come to realize that some people we could not see our lives without, are no longer a major player in our lives. We come to learn that people come and go, but those that stick around are the ones that matter. New people come into our lives, rather it be temporary or permanently, but only time will tell. People have a funny way of impacting our life regardless of how much time they have been in our lives.

We must learn to appreciate everything that we dealt with this year. Years from now when we look back at 2014, some of us may recall it as a bad year while for others it might have been the best year in one area in life or another, but at the end of the day we all learned something.

As we prepare to enter a new year and we set forth new goals, remember that tomorrow is not granted. Whatever we do in life do it with all love and passion. Remember to know your true intentions when it comes to goals and people. Open your mind and heart to new things. Learn from everything and everyone around you. Appreciate what you do and do not have. Do not take people or things for granted. But above all, thank God for each breath we are able to take and if God permits and is in his plans, all goals and dreams we have may come true.

2015 is a new year and it is ultimately up to you to mold it how you want it.
